The masjid plays a central role in the well-being of the Ummah. It is the heart of every thriving community—a sanctuary for worship, guidance, and protection. It also a huge preserver of Islamic identity by reminding Muslims of their ultimate purpose: to worship Allah.

Alhamdulillah, thanks to your support, Ummah Welfare Trust has built, repaired, or renovated over 60 masjids across the Ummah this past year. Today, thousands of worshippers gather to seek Allah’s nearness. May these masjids continue to thrive until the Last Day.

But many more communities are still waiting. In remote villages and poverty-stricken regions, Muslims pray in crumbling structures or open spaces, with no proper place to worship. You have the opportunity to change this.

Alhamdulillah, the charity builds and renovates masjids in remote communities across South Asia, Africa, the Balkans and the Middle East. Each new masjid also runs a maktab, offering a place where poor young children can learn Islam as it has been traditionally taught.

If you have fully funded the construction of a masjid, you can choose the masjid’s name as well as a phrase of up to 30 characters to apply to its plaque, and a construction report will be provided (via email unless otherwise indicated) upon completion, inshaAllah.
If you wish to fully fund a masjid through instalments, please note that full payment must be donated within one year – the final donation must be received within 12 months of the first instalment. Construction will begin following the final instalment.
