Old and unused clothes can be donated off at any of Ummah Welfare Trust’s clothing banks around the UK. These are then recycled or sold at charity shops to generate revenue.
Ummah Welfare Trust has over 100 clothing banks nationwide, ensuring that thousands of tonnes of old clothes do not end up as waste.

What to Avoid Donating in Clothing Banks
Please help us keep clothing bank collections clean, useful and cost-effective by avoiding unsuitable items.
Before donating your clothes
Rubbish and surplus household goods should not be disposed of in Ummah Welfare Trust’s clothing banks. Ummah Welfare Trust incurs more costs having to dispose of these items appropriately.
Please do not overfill your bags so that they easily fit into the chutes and do not tear.
Washed, pressed and properly bagged clothing are ideal, keeping costs down and helping Ummah Welfare Trust recycle them in the best manner.

Retrieval Service
There is no retrieval service, as there is no guarantee that any items can be retrieved once they have been donated, especially when collected from the clothing banks as well as other collection points.
There may be instances where we will try to retrieve the items, but without any assurances.
