Muslims in Bosnia have struggled to recover since those dark days over 20 years ago. Around 1 in 5 of them in modern-day Bosnia today live in absolute poverty, with children overwhelmingly deprived.

Alhamdulillah, Ummah Welfare Trust begun relief programmes in this hidden jewel of Europe a few years ago. The charity regularly delivers zakat programmes here and subsidises a small Islamic school in the southern city of Mostar.
