Millions of people around the world are suffering due to drought, conflict, and extreme poverty — and clean water is often the first thing they lose access to. Through its Water Distribution project,
Ummah Welfare Trust is delivering life-saving water supplies to displaced and drought-affected communities in crisis-hit countries.

Water trucking is a vital emergency intervention used to meet the urgent water needs of families during times of extreme shortage. It is a traditional coping mechanism in many parts of the world when wells dry up or infrastructure is destroyed.

In countries like Yemen, where war has devastated public utilities- such as water tanks, cisterns, and pipelines – entire communities are without safe drinking water.

To help, Ummah Welfare Trust delivers daily water supplies via tankers directly to: impoverished households, internally displaced camps, schools and educational centres and health centres.

In Yemen alone, thousands of children, patients, and families rely on Ummah Welfare Trust’s daily water deliveries. Each water tanker helps quench the thirst of those who have no other source of clean water.

Providing water to a parched community will create a profound Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) legacy for you or the one on whose behalf you donate. The ongoing rewards you will receive for helping to provide drinking water include, but are not limited to:

  • Every drop of water drunk by a person, animal, or bird.
  • Every ablution (wudu) made for prayer.
  • Every illness prevented or cured through access to clean water.
  • The ease and dignity restored to women and children who no longer walk miles for water.
  • The daily acts of worship enabled by cleanliness and hydration.
  • The reduction in poverty and hardship in the community.
